The resulting mixture should then be applied and left on the scalp for 30 minutes. Step foot in the shower and get your mane shampooed.

Massage some olive oil. If you cannot stand the smell of garlic, then feel free to use olive oil only. Apply a generous amount of if on your scalp and let it stay there for several hours. The best time to do this is before you hop into bed to sleep. Wear a shower cap to keep your pillows from ending up stained. Shampoo very well in the morning.

Put your trust in coconut oil. Head lice can cause your scalp to be dotted with red bumps. The problem with them is they can feel really itchy. Luckily, at bed time you may apply some coconut oil and put on a shower cap in order to get rid of those itchy red bumps and also the parasites responsible for them. Shampoo the next day.

Smear some baby oil. If you are a budget conscious person, you may simply use baby oil rather than the oils mentioned earlier. Again, it's recommended to apply baby oil on the scalp prior to hitting the hay. Definitely, a shower cap should be worn through the night. Get rid of the scalp greasiness by shampooing your hair in the morning.

Count on petroleum jelly. Something that's easier to apply on the scalp than olive oil, coconut oil and baby oil is petroleum jelly. However, it can be more challenging to get rid of upon waking up the next day. Nonetheless, petroleum jelly is a fantastic home remedy for head lice that is sure to leave you impressed.

Try some tea tree oil. A very popular essential oil, tea tree oil is an excellent all natural solution for a lot of problems. You can use it for dealing with those tiny scalp parasites. Combine 1 teaspoon tea tree oil and 6 teaspoons shampoo. Massage on wet hair and put on a shower cap. Allow 30 minutes to pass before rinsing it off.

Blend salt and white vinegar. Reach for a small spray bottle and place a quarter of a cup of salt and a quarter of a cup of white vinegar in it. Shake vigorously for several seconds until no more salt grain remains. Spray the resulting solution on your scalp and don a shower cap. Allow 30 minutes to pass before shampooing and conditioning.

Smear generous amounts of mayonnaise. Believe it or not, mayonnaise is not only good at making sandwiches taste better but also getting rid of head lice. All you have to do is apply it liberally on the scalp. Let it stay there for 1 to 2 hours, or even longer for better results. Afterwards, hit the shower to shampoo your hair.
