In either case, clients must be open and honest about different feelings and expectations if any healing is going to take place. For, both of these practices work to heal underlying issues which if not revealed, can not be healed. In most cases, individuals visit a psychoanalyst when dealing with a hidden and underlying issue. While this is the case, there are also psychotherapists who can work with these individuals. Whatever the case, these professionals work to improve the behavior and psyche of individuals experiencing these and other issues.

In most cases, those working in these positions have had a minimum of five years training as a psychoanalytic candidate. In addition, as these individuals are provided with a thorough education in pathological and normal development, most are very good at working with individuals in need of this type of assistance.
